Jer Schmidt is a woodworker & inventor who makes these beautifully practical tools, designed with repeatability and ergonomics in mind. their recent modular cabinet system was an instant favorite of mine, and their belt grinder designs have been reproduced in countless shops. I can't overemphasize how thoughtfully crafted their designs are - they make me jealous that I work in computers and not a wood shop.
Patricia Taxxon makes essays on subjects that feel shockingly targeted, like music theory and videogames with a custom mapping scene. her music is really good, too! on a completely separate note, "i like this macro furry art a lot" from her alt is required watching
Adam Ragusea single-handedly elevated my home cooking over the last few years. I've made his pot roast recipe probably a half dozen times for myself & friends. he also does food science videos, like the one where he systematically figures out what creates brownie skin and gives the answer right at the start. Redditors love him for this no-fluff approach and they're right
tokaku makes videos about a broad variety of hand-based rhythm games. one time she made an open-source 3-key keyboard just to spite a conman who ripped off some people in her community, which is awesome. she also recorded her journey to quitting alcohol, a video that permanently changed the way I view addiction & rehabilitation. pure girlboss energy
Linus Boman is a designer who was involved in the creation of Atkinson Hyperlegible, the cohost font! he makes well-researched essays on graphic design and typography with lovely narration and visuals.
AsumSaus makes incredibly well-edited explainers about Super Smash Bros. Melee, a game I played as a child and would probably be playing today if I weren't scared of RSI. they're really fun to watch and gave me a deeper appreciation for the game, tech and jank and all. I couldn't find a natural way to work in a second video link so there you go
